Through applying paint onto canvas I create an abundance of information through color, texture and form. I then sift through and select areas of key visual elements. This process is reflective of a personal, continual and constant sifting through a media and information saturated culture in effort to gather only necessary information. My goal is to allow this simple concept, which is set on a complicated process, to permeate into future work and media I plan to explore. While each series of works is based on its own specific subject matter and influences, the basis of finding simplicity within the chaos remains constant.
